Independence Day is celebrated on 15th August to commemorate India’s freedom from British rule in 1947. The day recognizes the sacrifices of freedom fighters, leaders, and ordinary citizens who contributed to the struggle for independence.

It celebrates national unity, the ideals of democracy, and the responsibilities of citizens toward the nation’s progress.

🎉 Traditions & Customs

Flag hoisting ceremonies, patriotic songs, cultural programs, and speeches are held across the country. The Prime Minister addresses the nation from the Red Fort, and schools conduct special assemblies, parades, and competitions to instil patriotism among children.
